CPD Development

You’ll be given designated time to engage in CPD activities with access to shared learning resources – both internal and external – on a wide range of topics, including a subscription to RCNi. The evidence-based articles, journals, educational materials available will help to make sure you have everything you need to develop your learning and professional growth, so your role is more rewarding, and the quality of our care keeps improving.

Webinars and Conferences

Various webinars are circulated throughout the year to enable your CPD, along with handy tool kits and up to date information on SACT. Each year we also sponsor nurses to attend conferences such as UKONS and Oncology Professional Care. For the last four years LPCH nurses submit and present posters at conference from initiatives they have implemented internally, showcasing their innovation in the cancer field.

Oncology Training Academy

We will soon be introducing our own Oncology Training Academy, a ground-breaking initiative aimed at empowering nurses with specialised knowledge and skills in cancer care. As the demand for oncology services continues to rise, you will be at the forefront of making a difference. The Academy will offer a comprehensive curriculum delivered by an expert faculty including renowned oncologists, blending a mix of classroom training and clinical placements, and culminating with a prestigious certification recognised by healthcare institutions nationwide.

Why work with us?

At LPCH we have built a strong patient-focussed culture that nurtures colleagues at all levels, and welcome nursing professionals who are as committed to seeing and doing things differently as we are. Joining our team is a chance to share your passion for new innovations, and for working together to improve life outcomes for patients.

The difference we make to patients every day is obvious in the numbers who continue to rate our care as excellent. This rating is all down to the dedicated and highly skilled teams who listen to them every day, giving them the choice and control they deserve and the outstanding care we champion. If that sounds like the role for you, we want to hear from you.
